(a)   HOURS:  Lake Tanko will be open for fishing at all times unless closed by proclamation.

(b)   EQUIPMENT ALLOWED:  Each person fishing is allowed two (2) poles with one (1) line with one (1) hook each. No trotlines or limb lines will be allowed. All hooks, whether designed for use with live or artificial bait, shall be no larger than 510. Weights and sinkers must be used above the hook. Weights up to one-quarter (1/4) ounce are allowed.

(c)   FISH LIMITS:  There is no creel limit on the number of sunfish that can be kept. Creel limits for channel catfish, flathead catfish and largemouth bass shall be limited to five per day.

(d)   FISH SIZE. - All fish limits shall be the same as current State Laws and Regulations.  Such measurements shall be made from the tip of the tail to the tip of the snout with the mouth in the closed position. Undersized fish must be returned to the water immediately.

(e)   BAIT:  There shall not be any stocking of fish or dumping of bait buckets. No carp, goldfish, live shad or crappie shall be allowed to be used for bait.

(f)    HOOKING: All fish not hooked in the mouth must be returned to the water immediately. Fish shall not be caught by any method involving snagging or netting.

(g)   TYPE OF BOATS AND MOTORS:  No boat on the lake may be propelled by a gasoline motor; provided, that this section shall not apply to training and planning exercises conducted by the Cherryvale Fire Department or in bona fide emergencies. Trolling motors are allowed to be used. No sailboats are allowed on the lake.

(h)   APPLICATION OF LAWS:  All state and federal fishing and boating regulations shall apply on the lake.

(i)    COVERED FISH: The number and size of fish in the possession of any person at Lake Tanko must conform to this article.

(j)    CAMPING PROHIBITED: No camping, including but not limited to the use of tents, campers, recreational vehicles or other methods shall be allowed at the Lake area.

(k)   SWIMMING PROHIBITED:  No swimming shall be allowed in Lake Tanko

(l)    Penalty Section: A violation of this article is a Class C misdemeanor.
