The official name of the city library shall be “Cherryvale Public Library.”

The library board shall be organized and have all powers and duties as are specified by Kansas law for municipal libraries.

The library board may make such reasonable rules and regulations concerning the use of library property and the conduct of persons making use of the library, as such board may see fit, and all such rules and regulations shall be obeyed by those using the library or being in or about the same.

It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to willfully or wantonly tear, deface or mutilate or by any other means injure or damage any book, pamphlet, map, chart or paper belonging to the Cherryvale Public Library, or in any manner to carve, mark, injure, write upon or deface the library building or any property used or owned in connection therewith. Violation of this section is class C misdemeanor.
